The Black Swan

Summary:  Nina (Portman) is a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance.

Cast: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey, Winona Ryder.

My Thoughts: Holy Crap! This is an awesome movie. I was very late  on watching this movie because I was just not in the mood to watch it when it was available.Nina (played by Portman) was this beautiful innocent girl that was  obsess with  being perfect. She evolve through out the movie and it was nicely done; You see her going from this innocent child-like girl to this rebellious angry young woman. The chemistry between Lily (played by Mila Kunis) was a bit lacking but it enough to make this story work. I was anxious during the whole movie because of her you can feel she was trying very hard to express herself outside of what she was comfortable. The anger, sadness, confusion and the stress could be felt. Everything about this movie was awesome. I honestly have never seen a movie that took me on an emotion ride like this one before.

Reiteration:
Pros: The whole flow of the movie was great. The acting was phenomenal.
Cons: None.
Verdict: Buy it.

Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard

So I was cooling off at this Staples after walking two hours to deposit 5 dollars. I saw something that caught my attention.

This little puppy here is the Logitech Solar powered keyboard. This keyboard does not require AA batteries and it can be powered by the light from your work space! It is being said that when this keyboard gets charged it will last for about a month or two. It also comes with a program that monitors the power level left in the keyboard. This little guy will sent you back $71.99. The MAC version will run you for about $60

The LG Xnote A530

Sorry guys for the lack of updates, I promise to pick up the slack! Anyway, Today I found out that  LG has now revealed the their first 3D laptop in Korea; the LG Xnote A530. The information is very limited right now but what it is know is that the laptop will be powered by Intel's second gen i7 and 8GBs of memory, the graphiscs provider is Nvidia's GT555M and it features a 15 in display. It also comes with two cameras so one can take 2D or 3D picture and/or video. The only downside this laptop has is that one needs those  3D glasses for the 3D-ness. No price has been set yet but this little thing looks interesting.

Fake Pool

This might not be a movie review of a tech thing but it is awesome! It is a fake pool.
The surface is filled with 4 to 5 inches of water to make it look like a realistic pool.

From my understanding, there are these two glass walls with water in between them. The pool has the size of 280x402x697cm.

Very insane! I will look for awesome stuff like this to show you all.

Little update

Sorry guys for the lack of posts. Been going thru some personal problems. But I am in the process of fixing it.

Source Code

Summary:  Source code is about this US Army Helicopter pilot (Colter Stevens) whose last memory is flying this helicopter over Afghanistan.  He has wakes up in this person’s body in a train in Chicago then the train explodes and he wake up in a pod. He is instructed to go back and find out who the bomber is.
Cast:
Jake Gyllenhaal, - Colter Stevens
Michelle Monaghan – Christina Warren
Vera Farmiga – Collen Goodwin
Jeffrey Wright – Dr. Rutledge
Russell Peters – Max Denoff
My Thoughts:  Source code was a decent movie. It is supposed to be some kind of science fiction/ detective type of movie. I didn’t have that much faith in this movie but I watched It anyway. The acting in this movie was good. I liked Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance and his chemistry with Michelle Monaghan.  Now this movie is about Colter Stevens  and he is in this pod that sends him into this train that is about to blow up, however he only has 8 minutes before  he is sent back to his original body.  Because of that this movie starts to repeat its self, a lot. I honestly could of taken a nap and wouldn’t miss much. What bothered me the most was the ending. I thought it was going on way. I won’t spoil this too much but it involves a freeze frame type of thing. It honestly made me sad and I thought it was great way to end it. But nope. They had to have some kind of Hollywood ending.  Over all the movie is good, not great but good.

Reiteration:
Pros:  The acting was good, it was visually appealing, it has Russell Peters.
Cons:  Repeats its self a lot.
Verdict:  Rental.
