a SUPER review

For my first review I am going to be reviewing the movie Super. Super is about this average man ( Rainn Wilson) whose wife (Liv Tyler) falls under the influence of a drug dealer (Kevin Bacon). He then transforms himself into Crimson Bolt, a superhero with the best intentions, though he lacks for heroic skills.

My thoughts: When I saw this trailer to Super I was very excited because I have enjoyed many of Rainn Wilson's work. I love him as Dwight from The Office and as various characters in different shows. The trailer made my think this was going to be one of those funny movies that go unnoticed. However was I in for a hell of a surprise. I loved this movie completely it is dark, funny, confusing at times but it was a great ride. They really made me invest emotion into these characters. The best part? The twist they give you. I haven't been this moved by a movie since forever. Liv Tyler did a good job in this movie and was freaking hot as a drug addict. Kevin Bacon was great as always. He just has that bad guy look. Ellen Page was very cute in this movie and her character might not be very one's cup of tea but I think that her character development was great. Over all it was a great movie. Check it out!

  3. Very nice. I'm going to start a classic film blog soon (along with my political blog), so I'll be sure to contact you so we can share links, do guest posts, etc.

Anyways, for your blog, go to feedburner.com and set up an RSS and Email subscription. Follow the instructions to set it up. People need to have a way to follow you, Email and RSS are the most common ways. It's worth the little bit of time it takes to set it up.

You can email me at thelastcentrist@gmail.com if you want to trade links, guest post, etc.

    Great blog, you have potential.

  8. I agree with most of your review, but I was severely disappointed with the movie. Though, Ellen Paige + Any sort of nylon form fitting costume = :3 in my book.
